Melissa wrote her new single, “Slow Down,” shortly after graduating from college and while residing in her hometown of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In August, she revised the song with songwriter Todd Wright and brought it to Nashville to record with PT Houston, a talented producer, and his incredible Nashville musicians. Melissa says that the song is about the struggle people can have with themselves when they meet someone who knocks them off their feet when they aren’t looking. A song about someone you can’t stop thinking about and feeling about. In the end, you give in to this strong feeling with an open and hopeful heart despite your efforts to persuade yourself to hold back and not get too excited out of fear that your heart will be broken again. Slow Down is the spring 23 single you won’t want to miss! It features a stunning vocal performance, catchy hooks, and a melody that will stay in your heart for the rest of your life!
