On McKinney Music, “the best independent music magazine in the UK“, on April 14, the singer-songwriter and actress Hailey Hermida released another single titled “Ignorance is Bliss”.

“Ignorance is Bliss”

On April 14, singer-songwriter and actress Hailey Hermida (Klaus) released another single. “Ignorance is Bliss” is available to stream on all services, including Tidal, Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon Music.

“Ignorance is Bliss”, inspired by climate change, can be applied to a wide range of life circumstances. It serves as a reminder of those instances in which we are unmistakably ignoring a challenge we face as a society or as individuals. We may be aware that we could perform better as a community or as individuals, but we ignore it. As the song suggests, despite the fact that the concept of ignorance may initially appear to be blissful, it has negative long-term effects.

Nathan Arenas

“Ignorance is Bliss” was written by Nathan Arenas and is a true collaboration between these talented teens. Together, they produced the single and wrote the lyrics, and composed the music. Nathan made the first demo in his home studio. The final touches were recorded with the assistance of music producer and engineer Mike Jerz, who mixed the song before sending it to John Greenham, winner of four Grammy Awards, for mastering.

Hailey Hermida has previously released two songs. “How These Things Go”, her first single, was a song she wrote out of frustration about the times in life when things are out of your control. The subject of heartbreak, which is not limited to romantic relationships, is the focus of the second song, “Never Mattered to You”.

Live at The Mint in LA

On Wednesday, April 26, Hailey will perform live at The Mint in Los Angeles. The opportunity to listen to her perform in person is provided by this free event, which is open to the general public.

Hailey’s Ethos and an EP Coming Soon

Hailey said you best believe she’ll do it if she can help or make people feel less alone. Writing music has helped her get out of bad situations, and if her music can help someone else do the same, that’s all she could ask for.

This fall, Hailey will release an EP as a follow-up to “Ignorance is Bliss“. The EP will be like a diary of her life, with songs about feelings and moments from her own life.

She trusts that audience members can associate with the feelings she expresses and find solace in realizing that they are in good company. The songs are written in a way that people can relate to and apply to their own situations in life, despite the fact that they are influenced by Hailey’s own experiences.
