APE SHIFTER have performed four European club tours in Germany, Switzerland, Austria, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and The Netherlands since their formation in November 2015. They have also released two full-length albums, and will release their third album, Monkey Business, on March 31st, 2023.

Jeff Aug is a cool underground guitarist who was born on Friday the 13th in Washington, D.C., and grew up in Laurel, Maryland. He has been living at the foothills of the Alps in Southern Germany for more than 20 years. He has toured with Soft Machine, Allan Holdsworth, Greg Howe, Stu Hamm, and Albert Lee, as well as with Jawbox, Shudder To Think, Ice-T & Bodycount, and his former band. He has collaborated with Government Issue’s John Stabb, toured and recorded with Anne Clark for more than two decades, and toured as a solo guitarist for more than two decades.

Additionally, Jeff can be heard on the album “Is This Hyperreal?” by Atari Teenage Riot ( Digital Hardcore Records and Dim Mak Records). Jeff holds two Guinness World RecordsTM: in 2009 and 2012, he set the record for “most concerts performed in different countries in 24 hours.”

The lineup is completed by drummer Kurty Münch, a member of the German punk band Rotting Carcass, and bass virtuoso Florian Walter, of the band Less.

APE SHIFTER employs Dunlop picks and guitar accessories, EVH/Charvel, Floyd Rose, D’Addario, and Planet Waves cables. Earebel is worn by Ape Shifter.
